A Step in the Right Direction for Buick Design

Released earlier this year, the 2020 Buick LaCrosse is a pretty good looking machine. Its got some car enthusiasts wondering, why couldnt Buick design a car that looks this great aesthetically twenty years ago? That said, there was the Avenir concept that Buick built and developed in 2015, but beyond that vehicle, Buicks current offering has been described as drab.

GM Authority Released Some Specs Earlier This Year

The 2020 LaCrosse will be the first Buick model that adopts GMs eighth-generation Ecotec engine. These brand new, turbo-charged LSY 2.oL engines are mated to the new 9-speed automatic transmission implemented by GM. This combination delivers 237 horsepower plus 258 pound-feet of torque.

SAIC-GM confirmed that the LSY is their first engine that can competently meet the 6B emissions standards which come into effect in 2020. In time, the 2020 LaCrosse model will be released with a new, turbo-charged 1.3L L3T engine, which can deliver 160 horsepower.

Slick, Refined, Beauty

With nine available speeds and 237 horsepower, this car could be considered underpowered when compared to its competitors. That said, its beautifully crafted, and more refined than ever.

United States Availability

Now that GM has shut down the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant where vehicles were being manufactured, its unlikely this model will be widely available in the United States, Canada, or Mexico. You might see some imported models on the highways, though, and theres a chance that used models will someday be available here at Faulkner Buick!

That said, as the leading supplier of new and used Buick vehicles in Philadelphia; you can click here to discuss the options of purchasing the Buick of your dreams. All of our vehicles come with complimentary car washes for life, 72-hour exchange policy on all pre-owned vehicles, and the best value guarantee. If you can find the same make and model cheaper elsewhere, with the same options and benefits, well refund the difference!

2020 Buick Envision

This month, our team here at Faulkner Buick would like to take the opportunity to showcase one of Buicks many soon-to-debut models: the 2020 Buick Envision.

The compact Envision was widely known as one of the quietest affordable luxury vehicles available, and the new models will continue to boast that very same perk.

The Buick Envision is easy on the eyes and quite spacious for a vehicle of its class. Simultaneously, the Envision is packed with even more standard features than previous models, coming with wireless charging, park assist, Android Auto integration, Apple CarPlay, automatic emergency braking, and more. Moreover, the improvements dont stop there, as many more have been installed in the Envisions powertrain department.

Under the hood, the redesigned compact crossover comes with a revised 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that generates 252 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It is exclusively available with the range-topping Premium and Premium II trim levels found in the all-wheel-drive configuration. On top of that, the revised turbo-four receives a new 9-speed automatic gearbox developed via our collaboration with Ford.

The base models still retain their 2.5L 4-cylinders with 192 lb-ft of torque and 197 horsepower, while still retaining their 6-speed automatics. They can be ordered in both front and all-wheel-drive configurations, allowing purchasers a variety of options in ordering their new vehicles.

Their all-new 2020 Sierra models will change the way you look at trucks and are being offered at an incredible value at your local car dealership in Trevose. Whether you purchase the 1500 or 2500 heavy-duty model, you’re getting a reliable vehicle with features that you won’t find anywhere else.

Plenty of Backup CamerasThe interior of this model feels so much like a luxury car that you could sometimes forget you’re driving a truck. This notion is further supported by the presence of a state-of-the-art backup system. Cameras were installed to allow you to forget about looking out of your bulky vehicle and hoping you don’t hit anything. The model comes with 15 different cameras around the exterior, so every angle is accounted for, no matter how tall the load your carrying may be. For those who have felt nervous putting your truck in reverse, you no longer need to fear.

MultiPro TailgateIf the back of your truck has given you issues in the past, then the 2020 GMC Sierra will provide you with a breath of fresh air. Their innovative MultiPro tailgate allows you to customize the back of your truck bed. If you need a step to get into the bed and grab something out of it, or if you need to extend your bed to make room for longer cargo, this feature allows you to do just that. This feature is a GMC exclusive to this point, making a Sierra the best bet for any of your various needs.

Go Off-Roading With EaseOne of the best parts about the heavy-duty models of the GMC Sierra is how great it is for off-roading excursions. The truck is built for all terrains, complete with hill-assist features and inclinometers. The multi-camera system mentioned earlier also comes into play here. Better yet, you don’t have to worry about ruining the truck in messy environments. The carbon fiber bed offered with these trucks are designed to keep the car free from external damages and make cleaning after a dirty day a breeze.

As a leading supplier of elegant, luxurious Buick vehicles at our local car dealership serving Trevose and surrounding areas, we always stay on top of the latest car trends – especially when it comes to new Buicks or GMCs. Recently, our team of salespeople and Buick enthusiasts got excited over an announcement of a brand new model that got the go-ahead for U.S soil. Not much information has come to market just yet, but we’ve summarized all that we know below.

What was Revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show?

In April 2019, Buick unveiled two new crossover models at the Shanghai Auto Show. These were the next generation Encore, and the Encore GX.

What do we know about these Models?

The regular Encore that was revealed looks around the same size as the current model. However, the GX model has a longer wheelbase. Both models have wide grills and spearlike chrome window trims. The GX is more upright and traditionally styled, while the Encore looks more like a sportier model. We believe that both models are an aesthetic improvement on the current Encore that is available in the USA.

Which Model Will be sold in the USA?

Automotive News has reported that the Encore GX will be sold over here, in the USA, alongside the current Encore, instead of replacing it. The smaller Encore that was revealed last week would not be sold in the USA, as it is a small model.

Any More Information?

Buick has said that both vehicles have Ecotec four-cylinder engines with a continuously variable automatic (CVT) or a nine-speed automatic transmission installed. Here in the states, the CX should get a turbocharged engine and optional all-wheel drive. Both models will ride on an all-new platform that will also be used by the next-gen Chevrolet Trax and the GMC crossover.

Faulkner Service Desk

Here at Faulkner Buick GMC Trevose, we’re the leading provider ofBuick auto sales in Bucks County and nearby regions. We also offer our customers a first-class service and repair department that provides a full spectrum of essential car care services to help you protect your four-wheeled investment. Several benefits come with choosing to get your car serviced or replaced at a dealership, including:

Professional Equipment

Whereas chain stores and local shops only stock equipment for general repairs most of the time, car dealerships have the correct equipment for essential maintenance. Our service bays are fully stocked, and we work with a network of dealerships, meaning that we can find any parts that we don’t have in stock quickly and efficiently.

Certified Technicians

In generic auto-repair shops, mechanics work with various car makes and models every day of the week. With car dealerships that offer repairs and services, all our technicians are fully certified to know your vehicle’s inside and out. Our manufacturer certified technicians know how to fix problems cost-effectively and adequately every time, and they’re always keeping up to date on the latest trends and innovations.

Guaranteed Work

A dealership car service will guarantee that all repair work is done correctly. A certified dealer will handle most of the warranty work, and all repair work will be backed up by the dealership. Therefore, if the repair fails for any reason, you can bring the vehicle back into the dealership, whereas local or national auto repair shops may charge customers to re-diagnose the problem for you. At our dealerships, we can also offer extended warranties on certain vehicles. This gives all of our clients peace of mind when driving their cars.

Customer Satisfaction

Certified car dealers have reputations to uphold and must work to a high standard at all times. We are proud and honored to carry a manufacturer’s name. Customer satisfaction is the #1 priority at any car dealership, and if our customers are unhappy, so are we. We strive to ensure that every single repair is completed to your satisfaction, every time.

● The Acadia

The only one of these that doesn’t appear to be getting any updates is the Yukon. The rest, however, will be more getting more high-tech and other exciting features:

Terrain

The Terrain may be the smallest of these vehicles, but its trim levels are getting a big update: the introduction of the GMC Pro Safety suite. These active and passive safety aids include:

● Forward collision warning
● Automatic emergency braking
● Lane-departure warning
● Lane-keep assist
● Automatic high beams
● Following-distance indicator

Other features are available in an optional package:

● Adaptive cruise control
● Blind-spot monitoring
● Rear cross-traffic alert
● Rear parking sensors

Canyon

GMC has given the 2020 model of this midsize pickup a new standard feature called Tire Fill Alert. When you’re filling a tire, this feature lets you know when a tire has reached its optimal pressure by giving you audio and visual indications.

The 2020 model also adds a Driver Alert Package with forward-collision warning and lane-departure warning.

Sierra

The 2020 Sierra (including the Sierra At4 Heavy-Duty, pictured) gets a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6, along with the CarbonPro Edition’s carbon fiber truck bed, previously available only with the AT4 and Denali trims. The Sierra 1500 will also have available adaptive cruise control.

Meanwhile, the frame of the Sierra HD has been strengthened, and it has a new 10-speed automatic transmission. This, in addition to its 6.6-liter Duramax diesel (445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque) enables the new Sierra HD to tow more than 15 tons.Tech options include a backup camera and 15 selectable camera views. There’s also a “Transparent Trailer” mode, giving you a previously impossible view of what’s behind your trailer.

Acadia

We’ve saved the Acadia for last because it’s getting the most updates. Its appearance has been updated to be more rugged-looking from front to rear, and LED headlights are now standard. Under the hood, it has a new 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 (230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque) with a new, standard nine-speed automatic transmission. The shift lever has been replaced with buttons. Tech-wise, it features an updated version of GMC’s infotainment system.

For buyers that want to minimize the risks associated with purchasing a used car, certified pre-owned vehicles are a popular choice. Although these cars often cost more than non-certified models, most people are happy to pay more for the value that CPO programs offer. As the leading new car dealership in Bensalem, we’ve created this post for people who want to learn more about CPO vehicles.

Remember: CPO Cars Are Still Used

Many customers expect a brand new car after paying a premium CPO rate for a used vehicle. These expectations are too high in many cases. We urge buyers to remember that although these vehicles have undergone rigorous inspections, they are still used cars, and will never be new again.

Always Check a Vehicle Before Completing a Purchase

Even if the vehicle is not a CPO, check it over thoroughly before finalizing a purchase. Some dealers will knowingly sell damaged vehicles as CPO models. They are banking on the idea that you will not check the car over before parting with your cash. We recommend taking a mechanic with you to thoroughly inspect most of the vehicle’s components before you sign any purchase orders.

Check that the Vehicle is a Genuine CPO

Occasionally, a car dealership will label a car ‘certified,’ but it has not been certified by the actual manufacturer of the vehicle. Manufacturer warranties cover a range of features on components and maintenance. However, all warranties differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Therefore, anyone purchasing a CPO vehicle must double-check what is covered and how long they are covered by the vehicle manufacturer to avoid confusion.

Persist if you Suspect a Problem with a CPO Vehicle

If you think that there is a problem with a CPO vehicle, chase it up to the highest possible level of authority. For instance, certain vehicles must have approved specification components to qualify for a CPO certification. If you suspect that any of the parts of a car are subpar, follow this up with the car dealership until they provide proof.

If they turn out to be inferior parts, the dealership will legally have to replace them to make sure that the vehicle qualifies for a CPO manufacturers warranty.

Should you Buy a CPO Vehicle?

CPO vehicles are pre-inspected and readily available. They come with valid warranties and the benefit of rigorous inspections pre-purchase. It would take time and effort to find a used car to match the quality and standards of a CPO car.

Although there is still a level of risk involved with buying a CPO car, it often far surpasses the dangers involved in purchasing a standard used car. Therefore, we recommend spending a little extra on a CPO vehicle for both quality and peace of mind.

A Ride that Doesn’t Skimp on FeaturesTrucks, back in the day, used to have a bad stigma surrounding them – vinyl bench seats, hand-crank windows – you can see it. They weren’t beautiful machines. They were built for functionality.

It boasts a bold, new design ideal for a do-er that wants a truck that works like a truck should while still offering all of the bells and whistles. With highly-functional and enhanced cabin space that is built for a larger crew and options for add-on features like Bose audio and a 15-inch Heads-Up Display, riders are likely to forget that they’re not rolling around in a luxury sedan.

A Build that Outperforms Trucks in Its ClassThe 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 may be a looker, but it doesn’t slack on performance. Depending upon the model drivers choose to purchase, the 2019 Sierra has a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of up to 17,800 pounds. The Sierra also offers tire pressure and temperature monitoring, electric parking brake assist, and an industry-first GMC multi-pro tailgate. The six-function tailgate on the 2019 Sierra allows drivers to do more with their truck, haul loads in different ways, and maximize space. No other truck offers such an intuitive and revolutionary tailgate.

A Reward for Your Hard WorkYou work hard, and your vehicle should be indicative of that. At the end of the day, you want to be in a truck that can assist you in doing more of what you love without slacking on features and performance. If you want a truck that meets your standard of excellence, consider purchasing the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500.

2017 Buick Envision

The 2017 Buick Envisionis a definition of sheer class. It comes with some of the most elegant and eye-catching aesthetics. The vibrancy of these aesthetics is accompanied by an equally great performance behind the wheel.

This is a compact Sports Utility Vehicle with just the perfect cabin and storage space to make it a great family vehicle. The features it is equipped with makes the crossover even more premium. Let us dive right into the specifics of the 2017 Envision.

What is Different?

If you are a parent of a teenage son or daughter, the struggle of keeping your children safe is real. This is why the SUV now features a Teen Driver mode. This mode has the answer to all of your worries. You can set controls that will inhibit your children from learning bad driving habits. In other words, the 2017 Envision is a safer option for your kids.

Power Behind the Wheel

Yes, it is a family car. But that does not mean that you should step back from putting your foot down on the throttle once in a while. At times when you do, the power behind the wheels should not disappoint you. This is why 2017 models come with two exquisite engine options.

The lower-end engine of the crossover is an inline 4 2.5-liter engine. It has the capacity to produce 197 horsepower with a 192 lb/ft of torque. This engine is offered in FWD and AWD. The former offers a decent mileage of 22 mpg in cities and 29 mpg on highways. On the other hand, the latter AWD drive goes a little shy, offering 21 mpg and 28 mpg in the respective departments.

The other engine on this SUV is the 2.0-liter inline 4 turbocharged engine. This engine can produce up to a staggering 260 pounds/feet of torque with a horsepower of 252. So when you do put your foot down on the throttle, you get to witness the sheer power that the 2017 Envision holds behind the wheel. Since the focus is more towards power, the turbocharged engine falls a little short on fuel economy with 20 mpg in cities and 26 mpg on highways.

Closing CommentsOne of the greatest pros of this automobile is that you get quite a bit for what you pay. In addition to the great amount of interior features, the SUV has a far quieter cabin and an easily maneuverable size for a more peaceful drive around locations like Philadelphia.
